The TCSSSA (Trans-County Secondary Schools Sports Association) volleyball finals between Andersen and Kissawai finally reached its conclusion today, after an unexpected interruption due to rain had suspended play. Originally set for Saturday, July 6th, 2024, the match was postponed and rescheduled for Monday day, July 8th, 2024, at Kipkeikei Boys Secondary School.
Recap of the Interrupted Match
The finals initially began with great anticipation, Andersen seized control early, dominating the first set with a decisive 25-11 victory. However, the onset of rain forced match officials to halt play, leaving the outcome of the match uncertain. With the fate of the championship hanging in the balance, TCSSSA officials deliberated on how to proceed and decided on replay today.
The Rescheduled Match
After the postponement, both teams regrouped and prepared for the rescheduled match on July 8th. The venue, Kipkeikei Boys Secondary School, buzzed with excitement as supporters gathered once again to witness the conclusion of the TCSSSA volleyball finals.
Under the guidance of coaches Mr. Sang and Mr. Lagat, Andersen showcased their prowess and determination. They continued their dominant performance from where they left off, securing victory in straight sets against Kissawai. The sets unfolded as follows:
Set 1: Andersen 25 – 15 Kissawai
Set 2:Andersen 25 – 18 Kissawai
Set 3:Andersen 25 – 20 Kissawai

With this resounding 3-0 victory, Andersen not only clinched the TCSSSA volleyball championship but also secured their place in the upcoming Regionals. The Rift Valley Regionals, scheduled to take place at Bomet Green Stadium, will be the next challenge for Andersen as they seek to further their success on a broader stage.
