In team news, Zamalek has strengthened their CAF Champions League squad with several high-profile acquisitions. Notably, they have signed Swedish-born Palestinian striker Omar Faraj from AIK Sweden and Moroccan left-back Mahmoud Bentayg on loan from French Ligue 1 side Saint-Étienne.
