Kabras Sugar Rugby Club, the reigning Kenya Cup champions, once again showcased their dominance in Kenyan rugby by securing their fourth Enterprise Cup title. In a thrilling final match against KCB Rugby Club at the RFUEA Ngong Grounds, Kabras delivered a commanding performance to maintain their unbeaten streak for two consecutive seasons.

The Triumph of Speed and Precision: Kabras’ Early Dominance

Kabras wasted no time in asserting their authority on the field, with speedy winger Humphrey Asiligwa making an immediate impact by slicing through the KCB defense to score the opening try under the posts. Ntabeni Dukisa’s successful conversion gave Kabras an early 7-0 lead. Despite early penalties, Kabras maintained their momentum, with Dukisa adding two consecutive penalties to extend their lead to 13-6 by halftime. KCB suffered a setback with Elvis Namusasi’s red card, further strengthening Kabras’ position.

Resilience and Final Flourish: Kabras’ Unyielding Spirit

As the second half commenced, Kabras continued to dominate, with Ntabeni Dukisa showcasing his skill by scoring and converting his own try, bringing the score to 20-6 in favor of Kabras. However, KCB demonstrated resilience, narrowing the gap with a try from Shaban Ahmed. Despite missed opportunities, Kabras remained composed, with James Olela extending their lead. KCB fought back with a try from Michael Wamalwa, but Kabras sealed the victory with a last-minute intercept try, securing a 32-20 win. With their accurate conversions and solid defense, Kabras demonstrated why they are the undisputed champions of Kenyan rugby.
